Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing design tradeoffs that affect human performance and improving veteran health outcomes. This role is integral in promoting products within the Veterans Health Administration, ensuring high standards of usability and user satisfaction.
Accountabilities
  • Utilize advanced skills and analytical techniques to evaluate operational processes and technical systems.
  • Apply the latest advancements in human factors engineering to enhance product evaluations.
  • Deliver comprehensive usability assessments of products and procedures.
  • Anticipate the effects of design changes on diverse user groups for better accessibility.
  • Utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in user experience research.
  • Identify potential risks associated with system implementation and create mitigation strategies.
  • Effectively communicate human factors considerations to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in human factors engineering or closely related field.
  • Deep understanding of human factors principles and usability standards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices.
