We’re hiring a Weekend Unit Coordinator to support our Adult/Pediatric Medical Surgical Nursing team. This is a weekend-only position working Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am–7:00pm is ideal for candidates seeking a stable 24-hour weekend schedule in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Reporting to the Nursing Manager, this role is essential in maintaining unit efficiency and supporting clinical operations. You will serve as the communication hub for nurses, physicians, patients, and families while ensuring smooth administrative workflow.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate daily administrative operations for a busy Medical Surgical unit

  • Serve as the primary communication point for physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families

  • Provide clerical and secretarial support to the department

  • Answer and direct phone calls with professional telephone etiquette

  • Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (Meditech experience preferred)

  • Support overall patient flow and unit efficiency

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information

Schedule
  • Weekend Only

  • Saturday & Sunday

  • 7:00am – 7:00pm (12-hour shifts)

  • 24 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma required

  • Business, secretarial, or medical terminology coursework preferred

Experience
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience required

  • Strong computer and word processing skills

  • Prior hospital or healthcare experience preferred

  • Meditech experience a plus
