Remote AEM Backend Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior AEM Backend Developer - REMOTE. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable solutions in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). You will work collaboratively within teams to deliver secure and high-performance digital experiences, ensuring that solutions align with client deadlines and enterprise standards. Your contributions will have a significant impact, driving innovations that empower organizations to thrive.
Accountabilities
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle and understand the entire software development process.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend components within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Customize AEM components, templates, and content models to meet business requirements.
  • Implement AEM workflows, configurations, and user permissions aligned with best practices.
  • Participate in solution development using AEM Sites and AEM Assets.
  • Maintain AEM author, publish, and dispatcher environments.
  • Integrate AEM with Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions and other systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable Java-based backend code using Sling framework.
  • Demonstrate strong testing and debugging capabilities.
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines and software engineering tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Produce technical documentation and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support application deployments across various environments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of backend development experience using Java-based technologies.
  • 4+ years of hands-on AEM experience (AEM 6.5+ or AEM as a Cloud Service preferred).
  • Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including Sling and OSGi.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and scripting languages.
  • Experience developing AEM components and content models.
  • Knowledge of HTL, Sling Models, and Digital Asset Management.
  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SPA frameworks.
  • Experience with build and deployment tools like Maven and Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
