About This Position

Mount Yonah Medical Billing is a growing 3rd party billing company specializing in substance abuse and mental health billing. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team! We are located in Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody).

Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm

Pay: $17 - $20/hr

Medical Data Analyst

The Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial and operational data related to the healthcare revenue cycle. This role supports leadership by identifying trends, uncovering revenue opportunities, reducing denials, and improving reimbursement performance across all stages of the revenue cycle. The analyst plays a critical role in optimizing cash flow, monitoring payer performance, and ensuring billing accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • The Revenue Cycle Data Analyst supports healthcare revenue cycle operations through advanced data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Analyze revenue cycle data related to billing, collections, denials, negations and payments.
  • Create and maintain detailed Excel reports using pivot tables, formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF statements, etc.), and data models.
  • Identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes impacting revenue performance
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Clean, validate, and organize datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators
  • Create weekly and monthly revenue cycle performance reports.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to leadership through reports and dashboards
