About This Position

IT Construction Tools Lead

Role Summary

We are seeking a charismatic, business-facing IT professional to own, promote, and evolve our Project Management tool ecosystem supporting the Construction industry.

This role sits at the intersection of IT, project delivery, and construction operations, acting as both a functional translator and a platform enabler. The successful candidate will drive a “process first” approach across the business that will ensure project teams fully adopt, correctly use, and continuously improve our core project management applications, while aligning them with IT standards and business needs.

The role is suitable for a Business Analyst or Project Manager background, with 5–7 years of experience, including time spent working closely with or part of IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Tools Ownership

  • Act as the functional and IT owner for project management platforms used by construction and delivery teams.
  • Drive tool adoption, standardization, and continuous improvement across regions and projects.
  • Define and maintain templates, workflows, dashboards, and reporting standards.

Cross‑Functional Enablement

  • Serve as a bridge between IT and Construction Operations, translating:
    • IT language → into functional construction language
    • Business requirements → into technical configurations
  • Partner with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, Finance, and IT teams to align tools with real operational needs.

Platform Configuration & Customization

  • Configure and, where applicable, customize tools (fields, workflows, forms, reports, templates).
  • Support light coding, scripting, or advanced configuration to enable automation and standardization (where supported by the platform).
  • Coordinate with vendors and system integrators when deeper technical changes are required.

Training, Adoption & Change Management

  • Ensure the business knows their process before discussing tools
  • Act as a visible and engaging ambassador for project tools:
    • Camera on by default!
    • Confident presenter with strong facilitation skills
  • Design and deliver training sessions, user guides, and best‑practice playbooks.
  • Coach teams to move from “tool usage” to tool mastery.

Governance & Integration

  • Ensure alignment with IT governance, security, and data standards.
  • Support integrations with other enterprise systems (ERP, labor tracking, document management, reporting platforms).
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and prioritization of enhancements.

Applications in Scope

The role will primarily focus on the following platforms:

  • Procore
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Primavera (P6)
  • Microsoft Project

Experience with one or more is required; exposure to several is strongly preferred.

Required Experience & Skills

Professional Background

  • 5–7 years of experience as a:
    • Business Analyst, Project Manager, or similar role
  • Cross‑functional background, including:
    • Time spent working within or alongside IT teams
    • Strong exposure to construction or capital projects environments

Functional & Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of project delivery processes in construction
  • Strong functional knowledge of project management tools and workflows
  • Ability to perform advanced configuration, template creation, and customization
  • Comfortable discussing both technical concepts and operational realities

Communication & Soft Skills

  • Strong charisma and executive presence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in:
    • IT / technical English
    • Functional English used in the construction industry
  • Confident facilitator, trainer, and change agent

Personal Attributes

  • Naturally curious and improvement‑driven
  • Comfortable challenging existing ways of working
  • Able to influence without formal authority

  • Ability to travel up to 25% in U.S. and Canada supporting all 9 subsidiaries.

Why This Role Matters
