Job Title: Temporary Shift Monitor (4–6 Weeks)

Duration: This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
Schedule: Evening and overnight shifts (8-hour awake shift)

Job Description:
Shift Monitors are responsible for the oversight of a designated residential facility from late afternoon to evening or late evening to early morning. This is an awake shift lasting eight (8) hours. The position includes a paid one (1) hour meal period and paid one (1) hour break period, during which the employee is required to remain on the property.

Responsibilities and Duties: (Include, but are not limited to)

• Collaborate with outgoing swing-shift staff to exchange information regarding the condition of the facility and clients
  • Read and sign off on shift notes; clarify any questions or concerns
• Perform walk-throughs of the facility at the start of the shift and every one (1) hour thereafter
  • Document observations and activity in shift notes
• Ensure lights are out and all clients are accounted for
• Attend to client needs as necessary and enforce program policies during assigned shift
• Complete assigned administrative tasks (e.g., filing, uploading client documents, copying, phones, record-keeping, EMR entries, etc.)
• Clean offices as directed and help prepare the facility for the next working day
• Collaborate with incoming staff and report on shift activities and facility status
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Progress House, Inc. is a Drug-Free Workplace
• High School Diploma, CHSPE, GED, or equivalent
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Must complete a post-hire TB test
• Must complete a pre-employment physical, including a fitness-for-duty exam
• Ability to remain awake, alert, and on-site for the full duration of the shift
