Designation: Devops Engineer

Experience Required: 3+ years

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Production Platform — Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the CURecover production environment to ensure availability, performance, and security.
  • Automate Provisioning — Design and implement scripted, repeatable deployment pipelines to provision new white‑label customer sites quickly and consistently.
  • CI CD and Release Management — Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; manage versioning, staging, and production releases.
  • Infrastructure as Code — Author and maintain IaC (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform) for all platform components and site provisioning.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery — Implement and validate backup, replication, and failover strategies across regions (Azure Backup, ASR, geo‑replication, storage replication).
  • Data Platform Support — Support data ingestion, processing, and storage components; ensure data lineage, quality, and secure access.
  • Monitoring and Observability — Configure and maintain telemetry, alerts, and runbooks (Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor).
  • Security and Compliance — Apply best practices for identity, access control, encryption, network segmentation, and vulnerability management.
  • Capacity Planning and Cost Management — Track usage, forecast growth, and optimize cloud spend.
  • Documentation and Runbooks — Produce clear runbooks, onboarding docs, and architecture diagrams for internal teams and customers.
  • Customer and Team Collaboration — Work with product, support, and client teams to onboard customers, respond to incidents, and deliver platform improvements.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Azure Platform Expertise — Strong hands‑on experience with core Azure services including Storage Accounts, Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Function Apps, App Service, CDN/Front Door, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Machines, DNS zones, and Application Insights.
  • Scripting and Automation — Proficient in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and at least one scripting language (Python preferred) to automate deployments and operational tasks.
  • Infrastructure as Code — Practical experience with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform to provision and manage resources.
  • CI CD Tools — Experience building pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and integrating automated testing and deployment.
  • Backup and Replication — Implementing and testing cross‑region backups, geo‑replication, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Containers and Orchestration — Familiarity with Docker; experience with Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service is a plus.
  • Data Integration and Streaming — Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka or other streaming systems, and cloud data processing patterns.
  • Databases and ETL — Strong SQL skills; experience with Microsoft SQL Server, ETL/ELT tools, and familiarity with Snowflake is preferred.
  • Monitoring and Logging — Configure and use Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor for alerting and diagnostics.
  • Version Control — Proficient with Git and branching strategies.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience running a SaaS product or multi‑tenant platform in Azure.
  • Experience white‑labelling solutions and automating per‑customer configuration.
  • Familiarity with Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and storage replication strategies.
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance for financial services or regulated industries.
  • Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑400, or equivalent.

  • Problem solver — Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to drive issues to resolution under pressure.

  • Team player — Works well with engineering, product, and support teams; mentors junior engineers.

What You Will Be Working With:

  • A production Azure tenant that includes Storage Accounts, Function Apps, CDN/Front Door, SQL Databases, Application Insights, DNS zones, and many customer‑specific resource groups.
  • Data processing components such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
  • CI/CD pipelines, IaC templates, and automation scripts used to provision and manage customer sites.
  • Backup, replication, and DR tooling to support cross‑region failover and recovery testing.

Day to Day Expectations:

  • Triage and resolve platform incidents; participate in on‑call rotation.
  • Build and maintain automation to provision new customer sites within the CURecover framework.
  • Run scheduled DR tests and validate backups and replication across regions.
  • Improve observability, reduce manual toil, and harden platform security.
  • Collaborate on roadmap items that improve scalability, reliability, and deployment speed.

Work Model:

  • Must be able to collaborate across US time zones and occasionally participate in on‑call duties.
