The Junior Python Developer will be responsible for assisting in the development, testing, and maintenance of backend applications, while expanding your knowledge of automation scripting, databases, and cloud platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career developer to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Python programming, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What does a day in the life of a Jr. Python Developer look like?

• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve software defects and bugs in Python backend applications.
• Develop and implement new features and functionalities with a keen attention to detail, ensuring adherence to specifications and coding standards.
• Develop efficient database interactions within Python applications.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Proficiently use Git for version control, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.
• Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation.
• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks according to urgency.
• Work closely with team members to investigate issues and discuss solutions.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn quickly and adapt based on feedback received.
• Employ critical thinking to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward clients and colleagues at all times
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Meet or exceed performance targets for related KP’s
• Perform other duties as assigned

What are the required qualifications for a Jr. Python Developer?

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Python software development or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Basic knowledge in SQL and database management is a plus.
• Basic knowledge in cloud services or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Familiarity with both Mac and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to analyze and solve basic coding problems.
• Ability to quickly absorb and apply new technologies and concepts.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
