Field Service Technician- Hood Cleaning at Kept Companies, Inc – Basehor, Kansas

Kept Companies is hiring experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to service large commercial equipment across multiple industries including restaurants, retail, transportation, solar, and supermarkets.

Our technicians work on rooftop units, make-up air systems, VRF systems, and large commercial equipment — not residential service calls.

If you can diagnose problems, troubleshoot systems, and work independently, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Service and troubleshoot RTUs, split systems, make-up air units, VAVs, exhaust systems, and packaged units
Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues
Perform commercial kitchen exhaust hood cleaning
Conduct AutoMist system inspections and maintenance
Ensure work meets fire protection and NFPA safety standards
Identify and report NFPA deficiencies
Complete service tickets and reports using mobile apps
Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle
Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls
Travel monthly with occasional overnight stays

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years commercial HVAC service experience
EPA Certification (required)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and lifts
Professional, dependable, and able to work independently
Must pass background check and drug screening
