As Manager, Test Engineering, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive test programs that ensure product reliability, quality, and compliance. You will manage testing engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive the successful delivery of component and system-level tests. The position requires strong technical leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on problem-solving skills to support the advancement of next-generation energy solutions. Success in this role directly influences the commercialization of cutting-edge technology, providing exposure to complex engineering challenges and collaboration with highly skilled teams. • Develop and manage product and component test and qualification plans.
• Oversee R&D, component, and system testing contracts and coordinate testing scope of work.
• Organize, manage, and analyze test data to identify key parameters affecting quality and reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and manage testing engineers assigned to various projects.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design test components, rigs, and experimental setups.
• Work with project managers and system engineers to align testing schedules with product milestones and requirements.
• Support supply chain activities for sourcing materials and components needed for testing.
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all test activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in R&D, design, testing, or operations, with at least 2 years in R&D testing or equipment reliability testing.
• Proven experience managing technical teams and test programs.
• Strong understanding of test engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for technical reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to adapt in a rapidly evolving environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Eligible to work under relevant U.S. Department of Energy regulations (10 CFR Part 810).
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 30% as testing programs expand.
