Barista at Metz Culinary Management – Bradford, Pennsylvania

• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including floors, equipment, trash removal, and cleaning of utensils, air pots and small wares items.
• Produce high-quality hand-crafted beverages, utilizing recipe cards, measuring ingredients appropriately.
• Greet, service and prepare guest orders in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
• Ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Brew coffee, prepare tea, and other beverages for cold or shelf holding.
• Perform espresso machine cleaning cycle at closing.
• Performs cashiering duties, including, but not limited to: ringing up items on a POS system, finalizing sales, money handling, using a credit card machine, drawer balancing, completing a deposit between shifts/at closing.
• Creating lists for replenishment of products
• Restocking of paper, refrigerated and dry goods.
• Recording of food storage equipment temperatures.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offerings.
• Knowledge of food handling/food preperation.

Requirements:

•Previous Barista experience required

•Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.

•SERV Safe Certification

•Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time

•Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis

•Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills

Responsibilities:

•This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day

•Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs

•Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions

•Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items

•Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations

•Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing

•Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments

•Complete weekly inventory and order list

•Clean and maintain all equipment continuously

•Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
