Position Summary

The Supervisor, Ramp Communications Center (RCC) is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Ramp Communications Center and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely coordination of all aircraft movement and service-related communications between Customer Service, Line Service, Ramp teams, and other operational departments.

This position supervises RCC personnel, monitors flight activity, ensures accurate dissemination of operational information, and supports the execution of all aircraft services in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and customer expectations. The RCC Supervisor serves as a key communication leader within the operation and is responsible for maintaining situational awareness, driving team performance, and escalating operational issues as needed.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Aviation operates on a dynamic schedule—things can change fast, and our success depends on team members who can adapt. We are looking for team members who thrive in a dynamic, around-the-clock operation and are open to working a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the operation, customers, and crews. We formally operate 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly.

This role is an on-site based position, our ideal candidate will work from our location in Teterboro, NJ. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this non-exempt position will be as follows: $32.00-$37.50 hourly which is equivalent to $66,560 - $78,000 annually, plus a performance-based bonus up to 5% of annual salary.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of aviation operations experience, preferably in FBO, ramp, line service, or aircraft movement coordination
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of aircraft operations, flight scheduling, and ground handling coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume radio traffic, phone calls, emails, and operational documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a clean driving record
Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily activities of the Ramp Communications Center to ensure safe, efficient, and organized aircraft support operations
  • Provide leadership, direction, and daily oversight to RCC team members to ensure consistent communication and operational execution
  • Monitor flight schedules, aircraft movements, and service requirements to ensure all arrivals and departures are properly coordinated and supported
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of aircraft arrival times, departure times, parking assignments, service requests, towing requirements, and other operational needs to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain operational awareness of ramp activity and allocate RCC resources to mitigate delays, service gaps, or communication breakdowns
  • Enforce company safety policies, airport rules, and security procedures while promoting a strong safety culture within the RCC team
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for RCC-related operational issues, unusual occurrences, service disruptions, or customer concerns requiring supervisory involvement
  • Coordinate closely with Customer Service, Line Service, GSE, Fuel Farm, Catering, Transportation, and other departments to ensure seamless support of aircraft and passengers
  • Communicate with Customs and Border Protection regarding international arrivals and departures, ensuring all required notifications and procedures are completed accurately
  • Ensure RCC staff maintain accurate records of aircraft movements, services, delays, and other operational details using applicable company software and reporting tools
  • Review schedules, staffing levels, and workload distribution to ensure proper coverage for peak periods, irregular operations, and special events
  • Supervise RCC personnel on assigned shift(s)
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with all departments to support a one-team operational environment

  • Support and direct RCC personnel during high-volume operations, weather events, diversions, and other time-sensitive situations
  • Train, coach, and develop RCC team members to ensure compliance with procedures, consistency in communication, and growth in operational knowledge
  • Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational priorities, known constraints, safety concerns, and service expectations to team members
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback, corrective coaching, and recognition as appropriate
  • Assist management with performance evaluations, attendance management, disciplinary documentation, and employee development plans
  • Generate, review, and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management as required
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend procedural enhancements to improve efficiency, communication, and service delivery
Main Responsibilities Continued
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and customer service
  • Provide operational support to the FBO as needed, including backup support for phones, service coordination, customer requests, and other assigned duties
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network
