About This Position
The IT Technical Trainer role at biBerk will support the Senior Technical Curriculum manager in the development and delivery of training curriculum for biBerk’s rapidly growing IT department. The right person for this role will have a passion for learning, and knowledge of instructional design principles, coupled with experience working in a technical field and/or with software developers. They will also be comfortable with technical writing for software developers and programming languages and be familiar with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
This is a hybrid-remote role that currently requires 2 days of in-office work per month in Pittston, PA.
Job Responsibilities
- Create training material and documentation including, but not limited to: presentations, eLearning modules, training videos, user manuals, articles, wikis, SharePoint sites, and other documentation as needed
- Develop strong partnerships with business teams, product owners, and other groups
- Research, outline, and edit technical and training content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
- Enhance departmental technical knowledge through continuous improvement and innovation
- Facilitate virtual training sessions for IT staff including onboarding and professional development
- Maintain and create existing course content and serve as a subject matter expert on topics such as onboarding and basic commercial insurance knowledge
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Instructional Design/Training/Learning Technology/Related Field or 5+ years equivalent working experience
- Experience with technical or business writing
- Familiarity with project management software such as SharePoint, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An understanding of project management and Agile patterns and methodologies
- Knowledge of Instructional Design Theory and Adult Learning Theory, including, but not limited to, Gagne’s 9 Events, Bloom’s Taxonomy, ADDIE, and SAM.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience
- Advanced knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies
- eLearning design experience, including work with Articulate, Captivate and Camtasia
- Experience with software and web development, AI, and technical skills in at least one programming or markup language, such as: XHTML, PHP, SQL, markdown, YAML.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $70,000 – 99,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
