DESCRIPTION

Yamaha Guitar Group is a leading manufacturer of electric guitar and bass products, consisting of the “Line 6”, “Ampeg”, “Cordoba” & “Guild” brands. We are looking for a Lead Multimedia Producer to join the team!

The Lead Multimedia Producer will be an essential contributor to the Marketing Communications group. The successful candidate will have exceptional video production skills, with a strong eye for aesthetics that align with the music products industry and all five identities of YGG’s brands.

This role will be responsible for producing videos for social media, email campaigns, live events, websites, training, and other marketing deliverables. The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 3+ years of experience and passion for video production, covering videography, video editing, photography, and image retouching/processing. The Lead Multimedia Producer is a collaborative self-starter, should have excellent project management and self-organizational skills. This role will collaborate with YGG Marketing + Product teams to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of our video content.

This Role will be hybrid based from our Calabasas office and individual must be comfortable commuting every week to the office.

Essential Job Description:

In this role you will:

  • Pre-Production Management: Collaborate with the Brand Product Marketing team on tactical GTM creation for video components, brainstorm with internal staff on content ideation, and develop detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents for all projects and campaigns.

  • Production Management: Manage all technical logistics for video shoots, including equipment rentals and location scouting, to ensure a smooth, professional, and efficient production process.

  • Capture Compelling Video: Shoot high-quality video content in both studio and on-location environments, maintaining a high level of technical execution across diverse and fast-paced filming scenarios.

  • Visual Storytelling Mastery: Go beyond basic editing by creating compelling narratives and incorporating motion graphics and digital effects to elevate the final product.

  • Craft Immersive Audio: Record, edit, mix, and master professional sound design to create an engaging and impactful soundscape for all video assets.

  • Content Review & Approval: Manage the end-to-end review process, including overseeing contributions and deliverables from freelance vendors and external agencies.

  • Effort Breakdown: Maintain a balanced workload consisting of 45% Videography, 45% Video Post-Production, and 10% Still Photography.

Experience/Qualifications

What you Bring to the table

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in video production or a related field.
  • Proven experience in all aspects of video production, from pre-production to post-production (filming, editing, audio mixing).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite design applications (Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for visual storytelling.
  • Experience with still photography and editing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles (a plus).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse clients.
  • Strong creative thinker with a passion for crafting engaging multimedia content.
  • Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Mac OS platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 1-2 weeks/year) and work occasional nights/weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to both on-site and off-site work environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience with green screen technology.
  • Experience editing videos featuring guitar music.
  • Knowledge of the music and musical instruments industries (especially electric guitar).

  • Salary Range is DOE $70,000-$80,000

The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, exclusive of overtime, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Yamaha Guitar Group will consider the individual candidate's education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
