Position: Lead (Graveyard Shift)
Schedule: Friday – Tuesday to Saturday 9:30pm to 6am
Location: The Courtyard (Las Vegas, Nevada) – Onsite (This role is not eligible for Remote or Hybrid)
Starting Salary Range: $20
The starting salary range for this role is a reasonable estimate, with a goal to pay a competitive market salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education and certification, skills, and internal pay equity.
What’s the role?
The Graveyard Lead is responsible for overseeing site operations and guest services during overnight hours at the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center. Reporting directly to the Graveyard Supervisor, this role ensures the safety, security, and smooth functioning of shelter operations while supervising overnight staff and enforcing facility policies.
What you’ll do:
•Overnight Operations Management:
•Supervise and support all graveyard shift staff.
•Ensure compliance with shelter policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
•Conduct regular site rounds to monitor guest activity and facility conditions.
•Address and resolve guest concerns, conflicts, and rule violations promptly.
•Guest Services & Support:
•Greet and assist guests with check-in procedures and facility guidelines.
•Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
•Communicate with case management staff regarding any guest issues that arise overnight.
•Security & Incident Management:
•Work closely with security personnel to maintain a safe environment.
•Respond to and document all incidents, emergencies, and policy violations.
•Follow emergency procedures for medical, fire, or security-related situations.
•Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness:
•Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility throughout the night.
•Oversee staff responsible for janitorial tasks and assist as needed.
•Report maintenance or repair needs to tl1e Graveyard Supervisor.
•Staff Leadership & Communication:
•Provide guidance, training, and support to overnight team members.
•Conduct shift briefings to relay important updates to staff.
•Maintain clear communication with the Graveyard Supervisor regarding shift activities and concerns. Other Duties as Assigned:
•Participate in staff meetings and required training.
•Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and report writing.
What you’ll need to start:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in shelter operations, security, or social services preferred.
•Minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
•Strong conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and de-escalation skills.
•Ability to work independently while fostering a team-oriented environment.
•Excellent communication and documentation skills.
•Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.
•Must pass drug screening and background check in order to start employment with Novum Health.
