The Manager, Project Management is responsible for the effective delivery of all program work under master service agreements (MSAs), Lump Sum and/or Unit Rate Projects that do not require a Financial Tracker, as well as all time-and-material projects. The scope oversight applies across all regions.
This role provides ongoing support to project management teams in each region, with regular in-person engagement on a monthly basis. The Manager, Project Management is to work closely with the PMO Specialist to ensure governance of QMS PMO practices, standards, processes, and tools, and provides analytical and operational support to project teams with the objective of improving project productivity, consistency, and overall value creation for the company.
The Manager, Project Management oversees project management, project coordination, project administration, and project cost/schedule control functions, and PMO Governance ensuring alignment with company strategy, HSSE expectations, and quality standards across the portfolio.They are constantly providing mentorship, process improvement and analytical support to project team members with the intent on increasing project productivity and creating additional value for the company. They are responsible for overseeing project management, project coordination, project administration and project cost/schedule control.

- Approves all expenditures as per the delegation of authority matrix.
- To assign projects appropriately to Iconic PMO team members.
Leadership
- Develops, implements, and maintains PMO procedures, processes, tools, and best practices across the organization.
- Help establish governance framework with a structured approach to program and project delivery through a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Provide support in attaining ISO 9001 QMS Certification as required.
- Monitor project health across their portfolio of projects and the work of direct reports.
- Engages in conflict resolution and works with managers, staff, and clients to resolve issues.
- Holds regularly scheduled, rarely missed 1:1s with all direct reports on a weekly basis.
- Leads the way in ethics, code of conduct, and HSSE matters, living out Iconic’s values and policies at all times.
- Makes regular site visits to support the execution of projects during construction.
Operations Management
- Develops and implements the communications infrastructure to support the portfolio of projects s/he is responsible for. (Departmental meetings, 1:1s, client meetings.).
- Controls project management best practices standards.
- Communicate regularly with partners to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
- Establish and maintain policies, processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across all functional groups. This includes defining frameworks, templates, tools, and systems to be used organization wide.
- Maximizes on change management opportunities to help increase project margins.
- Works closely with the VP, Shared Services, VP Operations, other Project Managers and CFO to execute projects to meet or exceed proposal margin.
- Provides superior client experience to help increase volumes of work from current client base.
Finance
- Reviews project financial health on a weekly basis and escalates issue to VP, Shared Services.
- Ensure all invoicing is completed on a timely basis within the month.
- Looks for opportunities to efficiently procure material and manage subcontractors across her/his portfolio of work.
- Identifies ways to utilize budgeted PMO and office overhead billable hours to T&M jobs to help reduce overall company G&A
Business Development
- Supports business development by attending client meetings as required. Work with current clients to obtain repeat business.
- Supports proposal development as required and ensure all operational proposal responses are provided in a timely manner.
HR
- Prepares, modifies, and delivers job descriptions and performance evaluations to direct reports.
- Develops and executes career and training plans for members of the team to enable them to develop within the organization.
- Develops short and long-term staffing plan in conjunction with operational managers.
Ensure that all direct reports complete the duties as defined in their respective job descriptions.
