Procurement and Logistics Associate

Job Summary: The Procurement and Logistics Associate plays a critical role in ensuring that the warehouse is stocked with the necessary materials and equipment for integrated security and electrical projects. This role involves managing inventory, placing orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring that all supplies meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical components, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inventory levels of security, electrical, and related materials, including monitoring stock, conducting audits, and maintaining accurate records.
- Facilitate purchasing activities, including preparing and placing orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues related to pricing, quality, or delays.
- Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality; address discrepancies with suppliers and coordinate returns or replacements as needed.
- Partner with operations, project managers, and warehouse teams to forecast material needs, ensure proper storage, and support timely delivery to job sites.
- Handle logistics for standard and special-order materials to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inventory, purchases, and receipts, and prepare regular reports on inventory status and procurement activity.
- Support budgeting and cost analysis efforts related to material procurement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, storage requirements, and relevant industry regulations while promoting a safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as required to support evolving business needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in supply chain, procurement, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in purchasing, inventory management, or warehouse operations, ideally within security, electrical, construction, or similar industries. Familiarity with shipping carriers is preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical/electronic components and inventory systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry related software.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks; forklift certification or willingness to obtain required.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Safety-focused mindset; familiarity with ISO 45001 is a plus.
- Pass a drug screen and background check requirements.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record and ongoing compliance with SafeTouch’s fleet driving policy.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, including uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and safely ascend/descend stairs or ladders for extended periods.
- Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, technology, and heavy machinery safely, with adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity.
- Read and review documents on electronic devices and in hard copy, observe details at close range, and accurately exchange information in person, by phone, and electronically.
- Drive to and from work and client sites as business needs require.
- May be exposed to loud noise environments.
Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt
Work/Base Location: West Palm Beach
Core Work Hours/Availability: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday
Travel: 10% (but mainly locally to job sites)
Pay Range: $24 – $31/hour
