POSITION SUMMARY:

Cleveland Wheel and Brake Systems (CWBS) provides aircraft braking systems and key system components including wheels, brakes, and hydraulic components for the general aviation, turboprop, business jet, rotorcraft and military markets. For over 85 years, airplane manufacturers, landing gear manufacturers, mechanics and pilots have relied on the innovative and reliable Cleveland brand of products, making them one of the world’s most experienced, recognizable, and respected brands in the aircraft industry.

At Cleveland Wheel and Brake Systems, the IT Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the IT Department, gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas including inventory management, Help Desk support, ERP system support, and general IT activities. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to build foundational IT skills in a business environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Inventory Management

· Track, organize, and maintain IT asset inventory (hardware, software, peripherals).

· Assist with asset tagging, audits, and lifecycle management.

· Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems.

· Coordinate equipment setup, deployment, and retrieval.

Help Desk Support

· Provide first-level technical support to end users (in-person, phone, or ticketing system).

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues.

· Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks (account setup, equipment provisioning).

· Document support requests and resolutions.

ERP System Support

· Assist users with basic ERP system navigation and troubleshooting.

· Support data entry, validation, and reporting tasks.

· Help identify and escalate system issues to appropriate team members.

· Participate in ERP-related projects, updates, or testing activities.

Miscellaneous IT Activities

· Assist with system updates, patches, and routine maintenance.

· Support IT projects and process improvement initiatives.

· Help maintain IT documentation and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the IT team.

Requirements:

Education:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

· U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for this position.

Skills & Competencies:

· Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred (but not required):

· Familiarity with ticketing systems or Help Desk environments.

· Experience with ERP systems.

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.

TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this onsite job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member will have an opportunity to learn across multiple IT disciplines in a collaborative setting. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift and move IT equipment up to 25 lbs.
