Role Overview
The National Facilities Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational performance of Eastern Communications' nationwide network of service centers. This individual will directly lead a team of 13 Facilities Coordinators, own procurement of nearly $30 million in annual inventory, and serve as the primary operational liaison to the National Service Manager and senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings a track record of multi-site operations management, a data-driven approach to performance improvement, and the interpersonal skills to inspire and develop a geographically distributed team.
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage and develop 13 Facilities Coordinators across 16 national service center locations, providing ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Establish consistent operational standards, procedures, and best practices across all service centers to ensure uniformity of customer experience and facility performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement accountability frameworks to drive individual and team results.
Procurement & Inventory Management
- Oversee procurement of approximately $30 million in annual inventory, ensuring cost efficiency, vendor reliability, and alignment with service center demand.
- Develop and enforce inventory management policies across all locations, maintaining accuracy in ERP system records and minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
- Coordinate with local service centers on material receiving, inventory allocation, and order fulfillment processes.
Operations & Customer Service Delivery
- Ensure on-time, high-quality service delivery across all service centers, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational outcomes.
- Review and act on KPI data to identify trends, address underperformance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all service center operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and customer expectations.
- Oversee the management of service requests, RMAs, parts orders, and billing activities at the national level, ensuring no customer requirements fall through the cracks.
Facilities & Equipment Oversight
- Ensure all service centers maintain a high standard of physical facility condition, equipment maintenance, and organizational cleanliness.
- Oversee maintenance of company-owned vehicles, office equipment, and test equipment at all locations.
- Identify capital or operational improvement needs across the facility portfolio and present recommendations to senior leadership.
Required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, facilities management, or a related field, with demonstrated success managing teams across multiple locations.
- Proven experience overseeing significant procurement or inventory management responsibilities, ideally in a technical, industrial, or field services environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience using ERP platforms to manage inventory, purchase orders, and operational workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to define, track, and act on operational KPIs to improve team and business performance.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a geographically distributed team effectively.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to service center locations nationwide.
- Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to operational excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in communications, public safety, utilities, or government services industries.
- Background in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement management at significant scale.
- Experience working in a post-acquisition, high-growth, or multi-location business environment.

This is an in-person role based at one of Eastern Communications' or its affiliates, RACOM and PMC, nationwide service center locations. The selected candidate will work on-site and travel up to 25% to support service centers across the country. Specific location will be determined based on the qualifications and preferences of the selected candidate.
The National Facilities Manager reports directly to a member of Eastern Communications' senior leadership team and works in close partnership with the National Service Manager to align operational priorities with company strategy.
