We are the owner, developer and steward of a nationally leading portfolio of more than 100 open-air retail and mixed-use places in high-growth markets coast to coast. We design our places to achieve 3.5 trips per week and 5 hours of dwell time, reaching over 15 million people daily.

The Events & Marketing Senior Manager serves as a strategic marketing lead for key assets, elevating brand visibility and driving foot traffic, dwell time, revenue, leasing activity and other property‑specific objectives through integrated marketing campaigns, events, and community‑focused initiatives. This role develops and executes marketing and event strategies that strengthen customer and community connections, enhance asset positioning, deepen retailer engagement, activate digital and social channels and build strong local partnerships.

This position requires a proactive self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of creativity, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborates effectively with both internal teams and external partners. This role is based in Washington, DC and reports directly to the Senior Director of Events & Marketing within the Brand & Culture Department.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the Senior Director of Events & Experience Marketing, Property Management, Development, Leasing and Brand & Culture teams to develop plans, develop and support the execution of key marketing campaigns, on-site events, programming and marketing to help generate foot traffic, dwell time, revenue, leasing activity and other property-specific strategic objectives.

Marketing Management:

  • Manage assigned property “places pages” and key property websites.
  • Build and manage marketing budgets for assigned Brand Assets.
  • Oversee digital advertising for portfolio and key properties, with a focus on seasonal, event-driven, retailer and other dedicated campaigns.
  • Manage overall social media strategy for portfolio and assigned accounts.
  • Execute daily stories, boosted ads, weekly posts and reels, influencer collaborations, and monthly analytics reporting.
  • Create and maintain a strong presence across assigned properties, building relationships with retailers and community partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all marketing and event-related communications with retail partners at assigned assets.

              Event Management:

              • Plan and execute events across assigned brand assets.
              • Source prospective events and create engagement opportunities by working with retail partners, community groups, cultural institutions and other third parties to create community-focused events, retailer-driven events and property-specific strategic programming.
              • Manage community‑focused events, retailer‑driven activations and strategic programming aligned with brand objectives.

                  Community & Partner Relations:

                  • Maintain and strengthen EDENS’ relationships with local community organizations, nonprofits, neighborhood groups, etc.
                  • Establish a strong, visible presence within Brand Assets and build meaningful relationships with retail partners.

                    Operations & Reporting:

                    • Lead monthly marketing meetings for key assets, including agenda creation and action-item follow-ups.
                    • Present monthly marketing and event performance updates during regional team meetings.
                    • Maintain portfolio-wide event and social media trackers; compile and distribute six-month performance summaries.
                    • Manage all event-related contracts and payments, including drafting common area consent agreements and event license agreements in coordination with legal and property management teams.

                          Qualifications

                          • 3-5 years relevant in marketing and events
                          • Passion for commercial real estate and place-making.
                          • Experience managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and Meta advertising tools.
                          • Background in marketing, communications, and/or event management.
                          • Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
                          • Ability to travel as needed.
                          • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
                          • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
                          • Strong analytical and research skills, with a resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset.
                          • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Copilot, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

                          The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 and is bonus eligible. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
