About This Position
The Director of Business Development at Opus CMC is responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for the Third-Party Review (TPR Group). This leader will oversee the full sales cycle, cultivate strong client relationships, and collaborate across departments to expand Opus CMC’s footprint.
This is a Fully Remote position within the U.S. (Preference given to Central and Eastern USA)
Ideal Candidate
To be successful as Director of Business Development at Opus CMC, the candidate must bring deep expertise in mortgage secondary market, a proven track record of consistently meeting revenue goals, and strong existing relationships with key decision-makers at the national level across the industry.
Success in this role requires arriving with a solid book of business, the ability to expand Opus CMCs market presence through strategic growth initiatives, and the credibility to represent the company at the highest levels. The ideal leader combines entrepreneurial drive with consultative sales skills, ensuring client satisfaction while driving aggressive growth in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Responsibilities:
• Strategic Growth: Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with Opus CMC TRPR Group goals.
• Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through CRM tools.
• Client Engagement: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with lenders, servicers, and financial institutions.
• Sales Execution: Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
• Market Expansion: Identify new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams within mortgage and financial services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align offerings with client needs.
• Brand Representation: Represent Opus CMC at industry conferences, networking events, and client workshops.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive leadership on pipeline status, forecasts, and competitive intelligence.
Education, Experience, and Job Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven track record of closing large, complex deals with lenders, servicers, or financial institutions.
• Experience working with mortgage TPR, and digital transformation solutions.
• Strong familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• 10+ years of B2B experience in business development, sales, within mortgage services.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong knowledge of Third-Party Review (TPR) in the mortgage industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Performance Metrics
• Consistently meets or exceeds quarterly and annual revenue goals.
• Growth in client acquisition and retention.
• Expansion of Opus CMC’s market share in mortgage services.
• Strength of pipeline and conversion rates.
