About the Role:
As a Housekeeper at TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Belleville, Ontario, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests. Your primary focus will be maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout guest rooms and public areas, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation. You will be responsible for thorough cleaning, restocking supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure seamless operations. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding Marriott’s brand standards. Ultimately, your work will create a positive and memorable experience for guests, encouraging repeat visits and positive reviews.
Pay information: $17.60 an hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and ability to use cleaning equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Marriott or similar branded hotel environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards specific to the hospitality industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Customer service experience to interact courteously with guests when necessary.
- Certification in hospitality or housekeeping training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to Marriott’s quality standards.
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens to ensure guest comfort and convenience.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to management promptly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and hotel policies to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
