About the Role:
As a Maternity Registered Nurse in our healthcare facility, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote patient health and recovery. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care management, including direct patient care and education. Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proven experience in direct patient care within a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified RNc-OB, EFM-c
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team and during care planning.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
