This role is focused on delivering high-impact geospatial intelligence and analytical support for federal mission-critical operations. You will work at the intersection of advanced GIS technologies, data analysis, and cartographic production to create complex spatial solutions that support operational decision-making. The position involves handling large, multi-source datasets, developing geospatial applications, and producing both digital and hardcopy mapping products with a high degree of precision. You will apply advanced analytical methods to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support government priorities in areas such as security and enforcement. Operating in a highly technical and mission-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate data into actionable intelligence. This is a hands-on, analytical role where your work directly contributes to national-level operational outcomes.
- Provide advanced analytical, cartographic, and geospatial data management support to produce complex GIS products and solutions.
- Perform data conversion, migration, and advanced geospatial processing using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Support project planning activities including requirements analysis, database design, application development, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Apply advanced analytical methods to diverse datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Integrate spatial and non-spatial datasets and determine optimal methods for data visualization and mapping outputs.
- Develop, maintain, and document metadata for geospatial datasets, tools, and applications.
- Produce high-quality digital and hardcopy maps and develop template-based GIS web applications.
- Utilize Esri ArcGIS tools and enterprise GIS systems to support geospatial analysis and application development.
- Contribute to image processing, analysis, and exploitation using aerial and satellite data sources.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 8+ years of GIS experience, including at least 2 years in direct analytical roles.
- Strong proficiency in Esri ArcGIS desktop and enterprise platforms, including ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience producing complex multi-layered maps, web-based GIS applications, and advanced geospatial analysis outputs.
- Solid understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data management, and best practices in geospatial technologies.
- Experience working with relational databases and spatial database systems (e.g., Esri SDE).
- Background in working with aerial and satellite imagery, including image processing and analysis.
- Familiarity with law enforcement, border security, or related federal mission environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to design and develop GIS tools, applications, and workflows.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, or a related field with substantial GIS coursework.
- Ability to obtain a DHS Background Investigation clearance.
