Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for the daily care and supervision of program participants at the Receiving Hope Center (RHC). This position partners with the therapeutic, educational, and life skills staff to meet organizational goals and individual participant goals. Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for the daily care and supervision of program participants at the Receiving Hope Center (RHC). This position partners with the therapeutic, educational, and life skills staff to meet organizational goals and individual participant goals. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Staff Coordination
- Provide support and delegation of daily duties to behavioral health specialists, behavioral health technicians, and PRN staffManage behavioral health staff schedule within assigned timeframe, assisting with timesheet approval, time off approval, and coordination of coverage assuranceParticipate as a lead team member in applying service plans, safety plans, behavior plans, and response plansLead by example with the strength-based approach with participants and staff Participate in monthly staff meetingsMaintain on-call availability to address coverage emergenciesServe as a point person for volunteers or guests at RHC
- Observe the emotional state of participants and relay any issues or concerns to the clinical teamObserve the physical state of participants and relay any issues or concerns to the HSP teamActively participate in program activities, especially with volunteersProvide safety checksPerform administrative functions as needed, including completing accurate and detailed documentation dailyProvide care to program participants without regard to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs Provide culturally competent care for participants who have a history of trauma
Training
- Coordinate staff to attend training instituteBecome a certified Mindset Trainer and train other staff members as neededBecome a certified CPR trainer and train other staff members as neededFacilitate onboarding of new RHC staffManage and coordinate staff compliance with trainings, including recordkeepingMaintain current information within the GA+SCORE online system according to state guidelines
- Develop intentional connections with the program participants and staff membersLead by example in modeling the characteristics of a Mission Driven ProfessionalProvide direction and encouragement to participants and staff Model healthy boundaries to participants and staff Provide support and crisis intervention as neededEmbody the spirit of a lifelong learner
- Moderate local travel required related to participant and program needs, as well as occasional travel for training and collaboration with other team membersAbility to lift objects up to 25 pounds, work for long periods at a computer, and drive company vehicle as neededAbility to administer physical restraints as governed by policies and procedures of programsSatisfactory criminal history background check, as well as a satisfactory fingerprint records check determination as required by lawClean Motor Vehicle RecordDocumentation from a licensed physician or other licensed healthcare professional of a health screening examination within thirty (30) days of hiring sufficient in scope to identify conditions that may place residents at risk of infection, injury or improper careCurrent evidence of successful completion of a biennial training program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a triennial training program in first aid which have been offered by a certified or licensed health care professional; such programs shall be completed within the first year of employmentParticipation in all required trainings and competency in areas of training content
