Medical Laboratory Scientist-MT at Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana – Munster, Indiana

Performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyzes and documents a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and/or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests; conducts advanced tests. The Medical Technologist is expected to perform the duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician and a Laboratory Technologist, in addition to the expectations as a Medical Technologist. Duties are performed under the supervision of a Senior Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor/General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director.

Education/Experience: BS/BA and graduation from an approved MT School. MT (ASCP)/NCA or equivalent certification. Must pass certification within 1 year of hire.
