Meat Utility Person at Hansens IGA – Bangor, Wisconsin

Summary:

This position would require basic math skills. No experience required, WE WILL TRAIN the right candidate. Requires lifting and carrying 15 -30 lbs. frequently and 80 lbs. + occasionally. Requires bending and twisting motions while carrying various weights. May be required to stand in one place for long periods of time. Must be able to work effectively on your own, as well as with other team members. Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn. MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER

Daily duties and responsibilities but not limited to the following:

• Helping with fresh and smoked sausage production and other meat products.
• Packaging and wrapping products and neatly applying proper labeling.
• Grinding meat, seasoning and mixing according to Hansen's specifications.
• Maintaining a clean working area in our State inspected facility.
• Using cryovac packaging machines to package our production.
• Using knives and other hand tools in a proper and safe manner.
• Using grinders, mixers, stuffers etc. in a safe manner. ALWAYS following safety rules.
• Assembling orders for customers and accurately process paperwork for those orders.
• Loading and unloading finished and raw product.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
