About This Position

Job Specific Role Expectations

  • Perform Setups and Changeovers on Machine
    • Tube Length, Material, and Diameter
  • Operates Equipment in a safe manner, meeting customer quality specifications
    • Perform root cause analysis on quality defects that arise and escalate to interested parties as needed.
    • Diagnose machine breakdowns and assess severity of failure in a timely manner, escalating to leadership or the maintenance and tool room departments.
    • Follow and maintain the production schedule as laid out in shop floor workbench.
    • Ensure incoming and outgoing inventory is accurate and accounted for.
      • Scrap is accounted for in IFS daily.
      • Outgoing tubes are marked with correct qty’s, part numbers, shop order number, and quality identifiers.
      • Outgoing parts are packed in correct bins as to not get mixed in with STP products.
    • Regularly performing 5S activities to ensure continuous production without quality or machine failures.
      • End of shift clean ups
      • Material offal disposal
      • Scrap is organized and ready to transfer to Hellam for disposal.

Work Environment:

  • Walking, bending, standing, carrying product, reaching overhead and heavy lifting required
  • Job requires the ability to stand or walk 10 – 12 hours
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 35 pounds
