Job Summary
Nursing Service at Avera St. Luke's requires all nurses and student nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in his/her role. The ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice are exemplified within the Position Description. The NCI student, under the direction of a Registered Nurse mentor, is responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process to provide nursing care for the patient. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered by him/her. Will perform the essential functions listed below in collaboration with and under the direction of a nurse mentor.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Currently, be enrolled and having completed all but the final one or two semesters of a CCNE or NLN accredited Registered Nurse program is required.
