About the Role:
As an HM Repair Technician, your main responsibility will be to repair and maintain various types of heavy machinery used in the industrial sector. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the machinery is in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and performing necessary repairs and replacements. By effectively repairing and maintaining the machinery, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the industrial processes and help to meet production targets. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality work will be key in this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a repair technician, preferably in the heavy machinery industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or industrial maintenance.
- Experience with specific types of heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, or cranes.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the industrial sector.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery to identify any potential issues or areas of improvement.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in heavy machinery and develop effective repair strategies.
- Perform repairs and replacements on faulty components, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and schedule repair tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used in the appropriate systems for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
