Junior Engineer in Dover, New Hampshire at Janco Electronics Inc

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for generating production documentation including bills of material, routings, and various customer and internal documents for the manufacture of electronics assemblies.
• Responsible for developing tooling as needed for the manufacturing process.
• Investigates and implements process improvements throughout the operation including manufacturability evaluation, quality data evaluation, corrective action and tooling development.
• Supports the manufacturing, planning, purchasing, sales, quotations, test and quality departments with technical questions and issues.
• Other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred
• 2 years of pertinent and applicable experience in the electronic assembly industry

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills are required, as it is necessary to interface with all internal departments, as well as customers and vendors.
• Excellent personal computer skills are required, including proficiency with everyday office applications.
• Proficiency with MK (MRP system) is required.
• Proficiency with Aegis Circuit CAM (CAM system) is required.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 13485 requirements are required.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing is required.
• Familiarity with the RoHS directive (European Union’s directive on Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment) is required.
