Account Manager - Reimbursement Accounts

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Account Manager – Reimbursement Accounts in the United States.

This role is focused on managing and strengthening client relationships within healthcare reimbursement account programs, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned customers. You will support clients throughout the full lifecycle, from onboarding through ongoing account management, ensuring smooth administration of benefits and strong client satisfaction. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will help organizations understand plan design options, system capabilities, and operational impacts on employees and members. The position requires balancing relationship management with operational oversight, ensuring service quality, SLA adherence, and issue resolution. You will lead regular client interactions, manage expectations, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless service experiences. This is a highly client-facing role where trust, accuracy, and proactive communication directly impact retention and satisfaction.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the relationship and operational success for a portfolio of healthcare reimbursement account clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong engagement throughout the client lifecycle. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing assigned client accounts with low to moderate complexity, serving as the primary relationship owner
  • Leading onboarding, ongoing support, and annual review meetings, ensuring client alignment and satisfaction
  • Taking full ownership of issue resolution, coordinating with internal teams and escalating when needed to ensure timely closure
  • Overseeing daily account operations, file processing, and service delivery to meet SLA and quality standards
  • Maintaining client documentation, including processes, procedures, and operational updates for internal teams
  • Acting as a client advocate, communicating needs and feedback to internal stakeholders to drive improvements
  • Educating clients on platform tools, reimbursement account functionality, and plan design implications
  • Supporting project coordination for low to moderately complex initiatives and ensuring execution against agreed plans
Requirements

This role requires strong client management experience in healthcare benefits, financial services, or a related B2B service environment, combined with excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, financial services, or direct B2B client service roles
  • Knowledge of healthcare plans, Consumer Directed Health Plans (CDHP), or related industry experience
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proven ability to manage and retain client relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience managing multiple complex client accounts (15+ or similar workload)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Salesforce or project management tools is a plus
  • Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills, with confidence leading client discussions
