Summary
We are seeking a proactive, detail driven, and empathetic legal assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting our attorneys with a wide range of probate and estate planning responsibilities. Essential duties and Responsibilities

- Assist with drafting wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and other estate planning documents
- Document editing, red lining, and proof reading
- Administer probate matters, including preparation of pleadings, settlement agreements, and filing with the courts
- Communicate with clients, trustees, and beneficiaries
- Case management and managing electronic files
- Calendar events, tasks, and deadlines
- Scheduling appointments
- Handling of incoming and outgoing mail
- Notarize and witness documents as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of legal assistant experience
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities while delivering a consistent, quality work-product to both attorneys and clients
- Ability to adapt to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities
- Strong professional, independent thinking skills with strength in problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and maintaining organization
- Punctual and dependable
Working Conditions
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work).
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Repetitive Motion: Making substantial movement (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
