About This Position

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, working from our Wilmington, DE office.

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a knack for financial operations and a desire to contribute to a growing company within BPG Real Estate Services, LLC. is seeking an enthusiastic Accountant to join our team!

In this role, you will be crucial in managing daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting our accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily Cash Reconciliation: Performing daily reconciliations of cash across all operating bank accounts.
  • Financial Transactions: Executing day-to-day financial operations, including verifying accounts receivable data and preparing and posting supported journal entries for the General Ledger.
  • Payment Management: Monitoring and reviewing vendor and client payments, generating check requests, and processing check runs.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Preparing monthly P&L reports and weekly operating reports, conducting variance analysis, and reconciling general ledger and balance sheet accounts. You will also assist with the annual financial budget and work with managers to maintain accurate records.
  • Audit Support & Special Projects: Assisting in the audit process and undertaking special projects or tasks assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, or at least two years of related business experience.
  • Technical Skills: Superior Microsoft Excel skills and excellent working knowledge of all MS-Office products are essential. Experience with QuickBooks software is also required.
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills are needed, with the ability to extract data from multiple sources and conduct financial analysis independently.
  • Communication & Time Management: Excellent written and oral communication skills for professional interactions with employees, vendors, and company contacts, along with strong time management abilities to work independently.
  • Leadership: Someone who strives to excel and takes initiative to identify improvements and efficiencies of internal processes and procedures; responsible for developing and managing updates of standard operating procedures.
