Your work will involve crucial legal research, and collaborating closely with the Claims Department to provide valuable insights on legal matters. • Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable.

Requirements

• 2 to 6+ years of experience in litigation, specifically in insurance defense and/or personal injury (REQUIRED).
• Juris Doctor degree (REQUIRED).
• Admission to the New York Bar (REQUIRED).
• Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Strong writing skills for professional documentation.
• Capacity to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts.
• Effective organization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Adaptability to learn and apply extensive technical information.
