Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

GDMS Maritime & Strategic Systems is experiencing rapid growth and needs highly capable, highly flexible people to support this growth. We’re looking for individuals that can quickly deploy to GDMS locations across the US to support our mission-critical programs. You may choose to integrate long-term with that location, or rotate to a new location and learn a whole new product line.

As a Software Engineer in this unique role, you’ll help engineer the brains behind the brawn for ships, submarines, undersea networks and other advanced defense systems. We encourage you to apply if you’d like to experience a variety of different product families and locations.

• Developing applications in C, C++/STL, Java, or JavaScript
• Test and design document writing (requirements tracing)
• MATLAB with digital signal processing experience is a plus

Workplace Options:
This is a remote-optional position, with up to 80% travel required to support work at various GDMS sites. When not supporting work at other sites, you will be a part of the McLeansville, NC engineering team.

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $90,833.00 - USD $100,767.00 /Yr.
