💰 Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually
- Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM–8:00 PM or 1:30 PM–9:00 PM
- Morning availability required for preparation, meetings, and training
- Potential Saturdays: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
- School holidays, recess, and summer:
- 7:30 AM–3:30 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

Position SummaryThe Beacon Director (BD) oversees all operations of a school‑based Beacon Community Center and reports to the Director of Beacon Services. This role leads program implementation aligned with QCH’s Mission, Vision, and Positioning (MVP) and ensures high‑quality youth and community development services.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with QCH policies, funder requirements (DYCD, foundations), and regulatory agencies (DOH, DOL, DOE)
- Maintain accurate attendance, data entry, and reporting in all required systems
- Review program data regularly to inform priorities and improvements
- Plan and support special events, staff meetings, advisory councils, and professional development
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with school leadership, staff, families, funders, and community stakeholders
- Represent QCH through outreach and community meetings
- Monitor staff attendance and approve timesheets
- Oversee program budget, fiscal controls, petty cash, and reconciliations
- Respond to emergencies and conduct crisis intervention as needed
- Oversee subcontracted and co‑located programs
- Ensure proper documentation, file maintenance, and audit readiness
- Maintain timely communication with supervisors, staff, and partners
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Social Work, Public/School Health, Education, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory and management experience in youth or community development
- Experience with outreach, retention, budgeting, performance‑based contracts (DYCD preferred), and regulatory compliance
- Ability to meet NYS School‑Aged Child Care Program Director requirements and obtain required clearances
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Ability to work both in person and remotely
- Master’s degree in a related field
- CPR and First Aid Certification
