This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Associate Director - Business Partner, Legal & Compliance Technology in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of legal, compliance, and technology, acting as the primary partner responsible for enabling and optimizing enterprise-grade compliance systems. You will oversee a complex ecosystem of legal and compliance platforms that support regulatory obligations across a global investment organization. The position plays a critical role in translating evolving regulatory requirements into scalable technology solutions and operational workflows. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and Engineering teams to ensure systems are effective, secure, and audit-ready. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, you will drive system enhancements, automation opportunities, and process improvements. This is a highly visible role requiring strong ownership, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will act as the technology business partner for Legal & Compliance functions, ensuring platforms, processes, and data flows align with regulatory and operational requirements. You will own key compliance technology systems and lead initiatives that improve efficiency, governance, and automation across the stack:

  • Manage and optimize legal & compliance platforms including communications surveillance, archival systems, policy management, and regulatory reporting tools.
  • Serve as the main liaison between Legal/Compliance teams and Technology, translating business and regulatory needs into system requirements and enhancements.
  • Oversee system configuration, user access, data retention policies, vendor coordination, and ongoing platform support.
  • Lead or support end-to-end technology projects including implementations, migrations, and system upgrades.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive automation initiatives using modern tooling and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Support regulatory audits and examinations by preparing documentation, data extracts, and system reporting insights.
  • Ensure all technology changes meet compliance, security, and regulatory standards prior to deployment.
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in compliance, legal technology, or business systems within financial services or a similarly regulated environment. You combine strong technical fluency with deep regulatory understanding and the ability to operate confidently across cross-functional teams:

  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, compliance operations, technology business partnering, or similar roles in regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA, and related compliance requirements for asset management or private equity).
  • Hands-on experience with compliance technologies such as communications surveillance and archival platforms (e.g., Behavox, Global Relay preferred).
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), analytics tools, and reporting platforms (Power BI, Excel, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to manage complex technology projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder communication, and user acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and information security concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary range: $150,000 – $220,000 annually (based on experience and location)
  • Annual performance-based bonus eligibility
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings plan with potential employer contributions
  • Opportunities for career growth in a global, high-performance environment
  • Exposure to cutting-edge legal, compliance, and AI-driven technology initiatives
  • Collaborative and cross-functional work culture with high-impact visibility
  • Flexible work arrangements depending on role and team structure
