We are looking for a talented and creative Interior Designer with a passion for designing beautiful spaces and delivering exceptional results.
Reporting to the Design Services Lead, the Interior Designer will collaborate with clients to develop personalised design concepts, execute projects from start to finish, and uphold OKA’s reputation for excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and budgets, and develop personalised design concept
- Create detailed floor plans, mood boards, and design presentations to communicate ideas effectively
- Select and source furniture, fixtures, and accessories, ensuring alignment with client preferences and the OKA brand aesthetic.
- Oversee the execution of design projects, coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Provide expert advice on colour schemes, layouts, and materials to enhance client spaces.
- Maintain detailed records of design projects, including budgets, timelines, and client communications.
- Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation aligns with approved plans and address any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with other teams to support wider creative projects and initiatives.
- Stay updated on design trends, innovations, and best practices to continually enhance creative output
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing residential or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks, Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of spatial planning, colour theory, and material selection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with teams.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets and timelines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Passion for the OKA brand and a drive to create beautiful, functional spaces.
- Knowledge of current design trends and an eagerness to innovate.
