Who are we looking for?

Wilson Farm is hiring a full-time Sales Associate to join our Garden Department team! This position pays starting at $18.00 commensurate with experience.

Primary Responsibilities for a Sales Associate in the Garden Department

· Assisting customers in product selection

· Cashiering customers purchases

· Stocking/caring for seasonal plants as well as associated seasonal items, arranging displays

Experience/Qualifications needed

· Knowledge of plants and their care a must

· Prior retail garden center/nursery (indoor/outdoor live plants) experience highly desirable

· Your experience is appreciated if you previously worked for Mahoney’s, Russell’s Garden Center, Pemberton Farms, Wagon Wheel, Home Depot, Lowe’s, or other garden center

· Reliable/punctual with a strong work ethic and friendly, outgoing personality

Work Schedule

· Full-time is 5 days/week (50+ hours/week)

· Includes both weekend days

· Schedule will generally be either opening at 7 am – 5 pm or 10 am – 7 pm closing

· Schedule may fluctuate according to business needs/season

· Holidays will likely require more hours.

Physical Requirements

· Standing/walking/bending/reaching for periods of time; rain or shine

· Be able to lift/carry approximately 40+ lbs. – everything from plants, firewood, bagged soils, etc.
