This role plays a key part in optimizing and stabilizing critical healthcare claims systems that directly impact dental benefits operations and member experience. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational needs into clear system requirements and actionable solutions. The position involves investigating system issues, managing tickets and backlog priorities, and ensuring data integrity across core claims processes. You will work in Agile environments alongside engineers, architects, and product teams to design, test, and deploy system enhancements. This is a highly collaborative role where analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Your work will directly improve operational efficiency, reduce production defects, and enhance service quality for healthcare members.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, software engineers, and architects to gather capability needs and translate them into clear business requirements and system specifications.
- Support the full software development lifecycle within Agile Scrum teams, contributing as a business analyst, tester, or interface designer depending on project needs.
- Investigate and resolve system issues, manage ticket backlogs, and ensure timely resolution of production-related defects impacting claims operations.
- Design, document, and maintain requirements, user stories, and interface specifications aligned with business objectives.
- Plan and execute testing activities, including test case creation, scenario development, documentation, and defect tracking to ensure system reliability.
- Analyze test outcomes and production impacts to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security protocols, and approval processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders through requirement walkthroughs, sprint reviews, status updates, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of system processes and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in information systems or IT-related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business and technical requirements.
- Experience working in Agile environments and participating in Scrum-based delivery teams.
- Familiarity with SQL and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting purposes.
- Strong communication skills, including technical documentation, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of healthcare, health insurance, or claims processing environments is preferred.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, TOGAF, or PMP certification is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and detail-oriented manner.
- US citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
