Position Overview

The Business Immigration Attorney plays a key role in managing and supporting the firm’s business immigration caseload and ensuring high-quality legal services for corporate and individual clients. This position involves preparing, reviewing, and filing employment-based immigration petitions, providing strategic legal counsel, and supporting clients throughout the immigration process.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Fairfax, VA, or Silver Spring, MD, with the expectation of on-site presence three days a week.

Manage your own caseload while meeting case progression benchmarks.Collaborate closely with paralegals and fellow attorneys to ensure seamless case handling.Participate in firm committees under the guidance of firm partners, contributing to the firm's operations and success.Be involved in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven legal environmentEnjoy a hybrid work model, blending flexibility with opportunities to meet clients and attend in-office events.Key Responsibilities:


Business Immigration Case Management

Manage a high-volume caseload of employment-based immigration mattersPrepare and file petitions and applications including E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, J-1, PERM, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1 casesDraft legal briefs, supporting documentation, and responses to RFEs and other agency requestsTrack deadlines and ensure timely filing with USCIS and other government agenciesClient Advisory & Legal Strategy

Provide legal guidance to corporate and individual clients on immigration options and strategiesCommunicate case updates clearly and professionally to clientsAnalyze eligibility and recommend appropriate immigration pathwaysCollaboration & Case Support

Work closely with paralegals and support staff to prepare filings efficientlyCoordinate internally to ensure consistency and accuracy of case preparationSupport team members in complex or high-priority cases as neededCompliance & Legal Research

    Stay current on immigration laws, regulations, and policy updatesEnsure compliance with all applicable immigration procedures and deadlinesConduct legal research to support filings and case strategy
Qualifications:

Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school Minimum of 3 years of experience in business/employment-based immigration law Experience handling E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1 cases Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and client service skillsPreferred Qualifications:

Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages.Additional experience in specific immigration law specialties or areas of practice.Benefits
