THIS IS A SHOP FABRICATOR POSITION THAT WELDS
Position Purpose:
Performs entry-level fabrication and warehouse duties under general supervision. Assemble industrial hoses, gaskets, and related products while learning shop procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Works closely with shop leadership and team members to complete assigned tasks accurately and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Training Compliance: Complete training in forklift operation, workplace harassment prevention and Hose Safety Institute (HSI) training.
- Inventory Management: Assist in conducting warehouse inventory under the direction of the warehouse foreman.
- Operate forklifts or other motorized equipment safely to move materials or deliver products as needed
- Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA regulations.
- Assemble industrial hoses, gaskets, and hydraulic hoses following specified directives and standards. Utilize hand tools, measuring devices, and cutting tools effectively; operate shop equipment such as die presses, and automated coupling machines with guidance as needed. Timely and accurately with minimal rework.
- Check in UPS and LTL shipments, package customer orders with minimal assistance.
- Other duties and on-call responsibilities assigned
Physical Demands of Position:
- Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to safely use potentially dangerous equipment.
- May occasionally be required to sit and be able to travel by car.
- Must be able to stand, climb, stoop, crouch, reach, walk, and bend.
- Must be able to hear and see normally with or without the help of medical devices such as eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Work Environment:
- Works in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- Frequently exposed to uncomfortably hot or cold temperatures.
- Occasional exposure to caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and high noise levels.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential job functions successfully using reasoning, communication, calculation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to speak, follow verbal and written directions in English, complete work timely, effectively and efficiently, and demonstrate attention to detail
- Basic proficiency with hand tools and measuring devices.
- Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety procedures.
Authority
· Act Alone:
- Pull and read tickets.
- Assist in gathering materials for assigned tasks.

Education and Experience:
· Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
