Job Details

• Performs service and installation of commercial doors and door hardware, electronic locking devices, auto-pedestrian doors, automatic vehicle gate operators, and other various security/life safety systems.
• Aligns, adjusts, repairs, maintains and calibrates various types of door hardware and gate equipment according to manufacturer and departmental specifications.
• Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and performs repairs as necessary
• Assists in the development of training programs for other employees.
• Performs upgrades and additions to system to increase functionality, usability, and reliability
• Assists with security camera installations, including mounting, aiming, and basic device setup.
• Assists with Cabling Technicians; pulls, labels, terminates, and tests low-voltage cabling (e.g., access control, camera, and related devices) per drawings and specifications.
• Performs a variety of basic skilled mechanical, locksmith, electrical, and electronic work.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
• Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in door access
• 18+ years old
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Team worker willing to do what it takes to get the job done
• Ability to lift 50- 100+ lbs.
• Valid driver's license & Clean driving record
• Strong customer service and communication
