- Prepare and review (first-level) individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission across federal, state, and local requirements.
- Support tax planning initiatives, conduct tax research, and assist in resolving complex tax-related questions or issues.
- Respond to tax notices and assist clients with compliance matters while maintaining clear and proactive communication.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to improve workflows, enhance deliverables, and ensure high-quality client service.
- Contribute to accounting-related support tasks and provide insights that improve overall client outcomes and efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting with strong expertise in tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, S Corporations, and C Corporations.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax compliance, reporting, and review processes.
- Experience performing first-level reviews of tax returns and providing clear, actionable feedback.
- Familiarity with tax research, responding to tax notices, and supporting tax planning activities.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting tools (Lacerte and QuickBooks Online preferred; Karbon is a plus).
- CPA or EA certification (completed or in progress) is required or strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and digital workflows in a remote environment.
