This role sits at the heart of a modern data organization, building the foundational systems that power analytics, machine learning, and operational intelligence at global scale. You will design and evolve robust data models, pipelines, and governance frameworks that ensure trusted, high-quality data across the enterprise. The position requires strong technical depth in data engineering combined with a product mindset focused on scalability, reliability, and usability. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data platform engineers, and product teams to transform complex data requirements into structured, high-performance data systems. The environment is fast-paced and cloud-native, with a strong emphasis on data consistency, single-source-of-truth principles, and continuous improvement. You will also contribute to shaping how data and AI intersect, enabling smarter decision-making and innovation across the organization. - Design and implement scalable, high-quality data models supporting analytics, machine learning, and operational use cases
- Define and maintain data architecture standards, ensuring consistency through single-source-of-truth principles across systems
- Build and manage batch and streaming ETL pipelines from data ingestion to transformation and delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into structured, well-documented data models and solutions
- Ensure data quality, consistency, traceability, and reliability across multiple distributed data sources
- Work with platform and product teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data pipeline issues efficiently
- Contribute to data governance frameworks including data quality, privacy, lifecycle management, and metadata standards
- Support integration of data systems with AI and machine learning initiatives, enabling scalable data usage for intelligent applications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, or similar
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Experience with data warehousing and cloud data platforms, preferably including Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Airflow)
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake, normalization, denormalization)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to data quality and system reliability
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and distributed team environments
- Preferred: experience in fintech, financial services, or payments environments
- Preferred: familiarity with data governance, regulatory requirements, or compliance frameworks
- Preferred: experience using Python or similar scripting languages for data processing and automation
