About This Position
Occupational Summary:
The Sr.Technical Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for establishing, enhancing and managing a specified territory (Southern California Area) or group of accounts to accomplish revenue and other goals and objectives set by the company.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or closely related technical degree. A Business degree may be substituted if there is sufficient technical work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience OEM sales and/or engineering
Minimum of 5-7 years of industry experience and/or with specified products
Demonstrated achievement of sales goals
Job Skills:
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and CRM
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong public speaking and influence skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or Auto CAD is a plus
Abilities:
- Ability to analyze sales leads and determine fit, function and lifetime value for NHBB
- Frequent travel required (50% plus)
- Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to act with professionalism and sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer base within the industry
- Ability to work with Marketing and Field Sales to accurately forecast future business
- Ability to make recommendations and influence both up and down throughout the organization.
- Demonstrate the ability to interface well internally, and with customers, including Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering personnel
- Ability to prioritize duties and maximize productivity
- Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization
Other Requirements:
Note: Physical job requirements may include:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to travel as needed.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at organizations’ facilities; both internally as well as customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop, maintain and manage relationships with customer’s needs
- Proactively work with customer portfolio to identify business opportunities..
- Provide support and timely communication to inside sales teams (AR’s) at all factory locations in the company.
- Assist in the account strategy, quoting, technical requirements, training, and sales negotiations.
- Effectively use the CRM tool to maximize sales and opportunities.
- Prepare business plans
- Time Management; Plan and schedule customer visits on a regular basis
- Timely communication of all issues to and from customers to the company.
- Expense control
- Prepare month-end reports for management by customer, product and factory location with summarized information as necessary.
- Perform other duties as related to the job function as required
SECONDARY TASKS – Following are responsibilities that are required occasionally.
- Support divisional goals and sales directives
- Identify customer needs, provide recommendations, implement solutions
- Departmental assistance and other projects as assigned

Pay Range: $90,000 to $115,000 DOE
