Certified Medical Assistant (Bilingual) – Primary Care / Family Medicine
Location: San Antonio, TX (Medical Center Area)
Job Type: Full-Time | In-Person
Join a locally owned, patient-centered primary care clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is bilingual (English/Spanish) and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
Position OverviewAs an integral part of our clinical team, the Certified Medical Assistant will support providers and patients by delivering efficient, compassionate, and culturally competent care.
Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, PFTs, and injections
Assist providers during patient exams and minor procedures
Dispense medications with provider authorization, in compliance with regulations
Support chronic care management and quality programs (HEDIS, quality metrics)
Communicate results with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage plans
Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic medical record system
Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred (Family Practice or Primary Care strongly preferred)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR is a plus
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered based on education and relevant clinical background
