About This Position
Job Summary
We are seeking an organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules and purchase orders to balance capacity and optimize throughput across multiple manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with manufacturing leadership, procurement, and production teams to ensure schedules align with customer demand, operational goals, and available resources.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling & Coordination
Develop daily and long-term production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, safety stock levels, ship dates, production efficiency, and machine availability
Collaborate daily with production supervisors, procurement, and warehouse teams to adjust schedules as needed
Plan and schedule workflow for each facility based on established lead times
Communicate production priorities clearly to ensure customer demand is met
Analyze reports and operational data to determine manufacturing requirements and resource needs
Identify production challenges and develop solutions to support efficient operations
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Support manufacturing practices aligned with company vision and operational priorities
Partner with operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and yield
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing production scheduling
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory/ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or training in manufacturing operations and/or inventory control management
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to push or pull 75–100 lbs with equipment assistance
Frequent talking, hearing, and close vision tasks
