Prolink Cutting Operator at Forbo Movement Systems – Huntersville, North Carolina

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under minimum supervision, work safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards by performing cutting processes and operating necessary equipment.

Read properly Production Orders and identify material

Ensure the quality and quantity of prepared needed material

Use cutting machines and saws in a safe and efficient way

Must be detailed oriented for order specifications

Must participate in all ProLink shop programs as Safety and ISO 2000

Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers to achieve company goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Strong technical skills

Experience in using Circular Saw, Band Saw, Milling Machines or similar highly preferred

Comfortable using Metric System

Ability to independently and safely use and/or operate necessary machinery, tools and

equipment.

Ability to lift minimum of 40 lbs.

Satisfactory completion of required Forbo training programs, ProLink Shop Programs as Safety and ISO 2000

Must be able to independently lift a minimum of 40 lbs.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a growing department.

WORKING CONDITIONS INCLUDE:

Required to work around and/or with cutting tools, forklifts, and machinery which

could cause cuts, abrasions, burns, bruises or fractures to hands or other body parts

Possible exposure to chemical vapors/odors

Temperature range of 68 - 72 degrees

Humidity between 50 - 55%
